I’m biting the bullet and setting up a blog. This will be my new home for posting work and technology related writing. I’ve gotten a lot of positive feedback to my postings on LinkedIn, so I want to try to expand on what I’ve done there a bit. My hope is that I’ll use the blog form to write content that is more useful and permanent.
For now, I’m going to stick to this blog style of posting, but over time I might try a newsletter of some sort. The big advantage of posting on LinkedIn is that it allows me to reach people, so I’d like to find a way to avail myself to that without some of the drawbacks of it.
I’m also disabling comments for the moment, mainly because I don’t want to deal with spam or moderating discussions. I enjoy hearing from people and getting feedback, positive and negative, but for the moment I’m going to encourage people to email me.
I’m still playing around with the theme and appearance of this. I like a minimalist, high contrast look, but I haven’t quite gotten just what I’m looking for yet. Maybe I’ll eventually figure it out, or (more likely) maybe I’ll decide this way looks okay.
